Accademia Rainbow Prosecco DOC by Bottega is a new and innovative project by Bottega whose primary objective is to create a collection of colours suitable for celebrating even the most significant holidays and occasions.
Consisting of 6 bottles, this colourful collection comprises of art expressions that are synonymous with Italian innovation and craftsmanship.
The Glera grapes that go into this Collection are grown in the Valdobbiadene hills and lovingly hand-picked. The grapes are then gently pressed in the winery bringing the high-quality taste we have come to know and expect from Bottega.
Characteristic, fruity with scents of golden apple, Williams pear, acacia flowers and lily of the valley.
The family-owned business was founded in 1977. Currently headed by Sandro Bottega whom also owns a decorative glass business. The iconic packaging that helps make their wine instantly recognisable is one of its key selling points, maybe this is where their ideas come from!
Bottega Gold is a top-quality Prosecco from Valdobbiadene. Produced solely from DOCG quality grapes with no reserve wine in sight. This level of quality continues to enable the production to maximise freshness on the palate.
As we know, Italian legislation prohibits this wine from using the DOCG classification, simply due to the bold gold packaging. For this reason, it’s sold as DOC Treviso.
One of the unique selling points currently in play is the fact that only one ferment is employed during its production. This practice is and continues to be very rare. Although a trickier method of production it undoubtedly produces a higher-quality wine.
Bottega Gold Rosé, on the other hand, is a 100% sparkling Pinot Noir. Their rosé edition is a great complement to Bottega Gold, it has a wonderfully elegant pink colour along with equally striking packaging.
