Pétrus, one of the world`s exceptional most luxurious wines. It was only when the Moueix family bought a some share in the property in 1962 circa. Pétrus is now under the direction of Christian Moueix and the famous oenologist, Jean Claude Berrouet.
The vines are very old and are and replanted when they reach 70 years of age. The grapes are hand harvested in the afternoon, when the morning condensation has evaporated. The grapes are fermented in cement vats and the wine is aged in only new oak barrels for 22-28 months and bottled unfiltered.
